We supply Solar PV systems for residential, commercial and utility applications.
Mindful of the finite reserves of fossil fuels and the implications of their use, we fully support the global drive towards the use of renewable energy. Every country is blessed by sunshine, some more than others, and huge resources are being spent on the development of solar photovoltaic systems for electricity generation. These now provide clean, reliable power with some manufacturers offering warranties of up to 25 years.
We treat every project as new and individual, and develop the most appropriate design for each customer, using components from leading equipment suppliers only. Quality features are built into the design stage to ensure excellent, reliable and economic performance.
Your residential system will be designed and supplied to meet your individual needs, while considering the physical aspects of your home. Consideration is given to issues including:
- Roof size and orientation,
- Possibility of shading from nearby trees or buildings,
- Location of utility meter in relation to connection to the utility grid
- Possibility of providing a separate gazebo-type structure or carport for the solar panels, thereby gaining an additional covered amenity for recreational purposes or protecting vehicles from the weather.
In the event that you would like to maintain power supply during utility power outages, we can supply battery-based systems that will maintain a seamless supply of power to keep critical appliances functioning.
These systems can also accommodate the installation of a standby generator for additional security, or a wind turbine as an additional source of renewable energy.
System size will depend on your power usage, the extent to which you would like to reduce your electricity bill, eliminate the entire bill, or produce more than you use and get a monthly utility credit.
The typical system will be connected to the utility Grid. Under normal circumstances the system will generate power during daylight hours. If the system output is greater than the electricity demand, then electricity is fed to the grid. If the system output is less than the demand then the required amount is fed from the grid. The process is automatic and requires no customer intervention.
Design / Space Considerations
Whether your project is commercial or utility size, we will design and install a system that will provide reliable and efficient power for your application.
We will assess your energy usage and provide a system to meet your requirements, and which will also conform to local utility grid connection requirements and electrical regulations.
Our site visit and evaluation will include an assessment of available roof area, roof orientation and the possibility of shading from nearby buildings or trees.
Non-roof mounting
Generally it is recommended to maximise the use of available roof space for the mounting of solar panels. However, this may not be sufficient for large capacity systems and it may be necessary to use ground-mounted solutions. Other options include the installation of panel-mounting structures in car parks, which provides the additional benefit of covered parking.
System Integration
- Self generating Diesel or Gas Turbine units.
- Wind turbines
- Standby Gensets
- Biomass and other generating systems.
Cost saving Objectives
The system will be sized in accordance with your energy consumption, and to meet your targets for energy cost reductions.
In grid-connected applications this would be in terms of Electricity bill reduction, including partial or total elimination of the utility bill, or generating more than your requirements , resulting in monthly credits from the utility.
Maintaining critical Supply
In the event that you would like to maintain critical power supply during utility power outages, we can supply battery-based systems that will maintain a seamless supply of power to keep critical equipment functioning.
Monitoring
It is important to monitor system performance, and internet-compatible monitoring equipment is a standard feature of our installations.
These monitors also provide options for monitoring and controlling other integrated energy supply equipment.
We treat every project as new and individual, and develop the most appropriate design for each customer, using components from leading equipment suppliers only. Quality features are built into the design stage to ensure excellent, reliable and economic performance.
